Why Music Lessons?
Music education is an excellent choice for students of any age. Music lessons build physical, emotional, and cognitive skills that translate well to our daily lives. Young students quickly experience growth in hand eye coordination and fine motor control. Older students can use music to create and foster new friendships.
What to Expect as a New Music Family
All students will learn how to have proper posture, to make a beautiful sound, to read and hear music, and how to practice efficiently. Beginner lessons are one on one for thirty minutes at my home in Pepper Pike or at Hudson Montessori School. Parents are involved with the process for students seven and younger.
How Long Does it Take?
Every student learns at a different pace, though we can see progress at all stages of our musical journey. Developing comfort with new ideas, increased focus during lesson, recognition of musical details, and joyful performances are some of the ways we measure growth.
Can Anyone Learn?
Yes! I’ve had students start at age three and students start at eighty-six! It’s never too late to learn an instrument and there are no downsides to giving it a try. My goal is to guide students to see the positive impacts of their hard work and to instill a life-long love of music!
